FABC PACT Canine Training Practical Skills

An online course for FABC Candidate and Student members looking to improve and develop their practical dog training skills. It may also be useful for some Certificated Members who may be accredited in other species to brush up on their practical skills with dogs. Members can flexibly complete the course online over a 6-month period. They will receive comments back on their homework. Note that this course is not accredited and members do not become registered ATIs by completing it, but they will receive a certificate at end of the course with comprehensive feedback of areas to improve.
PACT Membership & CTIC fees
A 10% discount is offered on the following fees for FABC members if they apply within 1 year of completing this course.
PACT Canine Training Instructor Course: (currently £2800)
FABC Student & Candidate Members - If they have studied an ABTC recognised course and have 2 years of experience, they can apply for PACT full membership via ‘option 2’ (currently £400). If they have studied at L4 or above (not ABTC recognised) and have 2 years of experience, they can apply via ‘option 4’ (currently £460).
FABC Certificated Members - can apply for PACT full membership via ‘option 3’ (currently £180)

ASSESSMENT
Students will receive feedback on their submitted homework and will be require to submit a 15 min coaching session where they teach a 1:1 client two exercises. A lesson plan, risk assessment and client form will also be required and full feedback will be given to allow the student to develop and improve their practical training and client coaching skills.
