This course is only open to PACT Accredited members.

PACT’s Canine Behaviour Technician Course is an ABTC Recognised ABT Programme. This course has been approved by the ABTC Programme Recognition Committee as meeting in full the Animal Behaviour Technician standard.

The course is delivered via our Online Classroom platform with a mixture of recorded and live online lectures, discussions and case studies.

Successful course completion (inc. assessment) entitles graduates to appear on the PACT Register (displaying the PACT Accredited Member logo).

  • The course is split into 4 self-contained modules, each containing their own online exams and assignments

What you will gain from this course:

  • PACT ATIs will build upon their existing knowledge and experience to fully demonstrate the additional skills required for the ABT standard.

  • Understand how to work with the ABT standard.

  • Learn how to work within a multi-disciplinary team with cases being referred professionally and appropriately.

  • Become proficient at running a successful and Sustainable/Ethical dog training business.

To obtain the ABTC’s ABT status, students must:

  • Be a full member of PACT by meeting the renewal requirements and paying their renewal fees on an annual basis.

  • Attend all aspects of the course

  • Pass all online exams and assignments (40% pass mark)

  • Complete a log sheet including minimum required shadowing hours of an ABT or CAB.

  • Retention of status requires annual membership renewal with an ABTC practitioner organisation.
